What is Reflexology?
It is a safe and
natural therapy that anyone can benefit from |
"Reflexology is a science which deals with the principle that there are reflex areas in the feet and hands which correspond to all of the glands, organs and parts of the body. Stimulating these reflexes properly can help many health problems in a natural way, a type of preventative maintenance." (IIR)

WHAT TO EXPECT
Pressure is applied to the reflexes on the feet (or hands). Particular methods are used on the corresponding reflexes (it is not simply rubbing the feet). A reflexologist can feel areas of tension and congestion while working reflexes. (These spots may feel crunchy, tight, pebble-like, or dense.) These areas can be worked on to break up the congestion, releasing energy flow to the needed body parts. |
ANCIENT THERAPY
First findings that relate to reflexology go back to ancient Egypt, about 2330 B.C.. Reflexology is making a come back because of its effectiveness and there is a need for natural therapies. Wall art in a physician’s tomb shows people having hands and feet worked on. The translation reads: "Don’t hurt me." The practitioner’s reply: " I shall act so you praise me. " |
